Best Techniques for Playing Rollors

Rollors is a new fantastic lawn game out on the market today. What makes Rollors stand out above the rest is its ability that every can play at every skill level. It is easy to learn, combining classic lawn games: Bocce and Horseshoes. You can play it on any type of surface and compact enough to store away.

If you are already a fan of Rollors and are looking to improve your technique, you have come to the right place. Though your game might be good, use these techniques and you’ll be amazed at how much better you will become. Get ready to be the champion every time you play!

One of the most important techniques is how you roll the Rollor’s disks. You will get better accuracy if you roll underhand rather than overhand. This type of throw will allow you to have better control of your disks and can more easily go in the direction that you want it to. Move the hand directly forward without breaking your wrists to maintain its accuracy. To keep your swing flat, keep your head down.

Another important technique is how you stand. Your body should be bent only at the waist and at an angle that you are most comfortable with. Your feet should be about a foot to a foot and a half apart. Make sure that you are always looking forward with your head kept still and your shoulders level consistently through your throw. When letting go of the disks remember to always follow through. Your arm should be level with your front leg and you should move your body in a straight line. Keep your arm as straight as you can.

Remember that practice makes perfect! The more you play the better you will become. Practice on multiple different surfaces so that you can get a feel for the type of friction each one will cause when you throw your disks. That way you will be better at judging the strength of your throw so you can best achieve your accuracy with your target. A great skill to have is knowing the surface that you are playing on. Depending on the surface to which you play Rollors on will help you determine your best delivery of your disks. Surfaces such as grass, sand and pavement all have different slopes and terrain. When you can understand this and how your rollors move, the more accurate you will get at reaching the radius desired.
